Our Story
The Syrian Kitchen is created by six refugee women from all over Syria who love to cook. All are now living with their families in Milton Keynes and are keen to further their lives in the UK.

Supported by David Lock Associates Ltd, Eat with Spencer and MK Council, this project aims to provide training and mentoring in the business of hospitality. It presents the women with an opportunity to improve their English language while integrating further into MK’s community. Ultimately, the Syrian women want to make this a career, creating economic and social stability for their families. When they cook and serve food, they feel proud of their culture and heritage, and they are keen to share this with you.

Eat with Us
Syrian food is one of the most flavourful cuisines of the world. The ladies’ menu reflects their lives in Syria with dishes handed down from their mothers and grandmothers. Cooking allows them to bring the tastes, colours and a little bit of Syria into their new homes. They use fresh and healthy ingredients with exciting flavour combinations. Tabbouleh, kibbeh, fattoush, and flatbreads are just a few delicious dishes they’d love to share with you!

Join Us
The Syrian women are keen to meet the community that has welcomed them so warmly, and to bring a taste of Syria to you. The Syrian Kitchen welcomes future catering opportunities and are available for catering events, supper clubs and other pop-up opportunities.

Come and enjoy some of our favourite dishes and put Syrian cuisine on the MK food map.
